2nd Act Readiness Screening

Pressure-test your next chapter before you bet your savings on it.

Most second careers and new ventures fail because people move too late, test too little, or confuse optimism with evidence. This private readiness check helps you understand whether your business idea, career pivot, or second-act move is ready for structured exploration.

Clarity Before Commitment

Understand whether your next chapter is ready for action, still needs exploration, or should be redesigned before you risk serious time and money.

Reality, Not Motivation

Look at your readiness across direction, confidence, resources, market fit, and willingness to test your idea with real people.

Evidence-Based Next Step

Receive practical next steps based on your responses, including whether a structured cohort conversation may be appropriate.

Why this matters

Five questions decide whether your idea survives reality.

Before you put your savings, reputation, or the next five years of your life into a new business, you need more than excitement. You need to know whether the customer problem is real, whether anyone will pay, and whether the model can survive costs, competition, and execution pressure.

Your idea must survive these questions

Does a real customer problem exist — or only in your head?
Will anyone actually pay — and how much?
Can the model hold up when costs, suppliers, or sales surprise you?
Can it survive Singapore, one of the most unforgiving small markets in the world?
Will it travel — or does it only work in your living room?

Who this is for

Built for Singaporeans considering a serious second act.

This is for people who have real experience, real responsibilities, and real consequences if the next move goes wrong.

Professionals aged around 40–55 exploring a second career or business direction
People with corporate experience who want to test a business idea before leaving stable work
Founders or side-hustlers who have thought about an idea for months but still lack evidence
People who want clarity before risking savings, reputation, or career energy
Operators considering regional or cross-border opportunities
People who want practical testing, not inspiration-only training

What selected participants may be invited into

A practical 2nd Act programme to test, fix, and prove your idea.

The readiness check is the first step. Strong-fit registrants may be invited for a follow-up discussion about the 2nd Act programme: four Singapore sessions, a 30-day validation sprint, and a 7-day Guangxi ground test.

Session 1 — Problem Reality

Define who you are really building for, sharpen the problem statement, and design customer conversations that reveal whether the idea has a pulse.

You leave with: Leave with a specific customer segment, a stronger problem statement, and customer interviews to schedule.

Session 2 — Business Model Reality

Build a one-page business model, estimate real costs and revenue, and confront the uncomfortable question: keep going, adjust, or stop?

You leave with: Leave with cost estimates, revenue logic, and a break-even number you can defend.

Session 3 — Singapore Fragility Test

Stress-test your model across the dimensions where Singapore businesses quietly break: sales, margins, capacity, owner dependence, and cash flow.

You leave with: Leave with a Fragility Score and the biggest structural risk to redesign before launch.

Session 4 — Fix & Execute

Redesign weak spots and turn your idea into a 30-day market validation sprint with a real offer you can deploy.

You leave with: Leave with a weekly roadmap, success metrics, and one market-facing asset.

The China ground test

Session 5 — 7 days in Guangxi

Selected participants travel with the cohort to Guangxi to put their assumptions in front of a competitive consumer market. The aim is not to prove yourself right. The aim is to find out what the market confirms, challenges, or exposes before you commit too much.

3 observations that challenge your assumptions
2 assumptions proven wrong
3 relevant contacts with clear purpose
One pursue, adjust, or stop decision

Clear pricing before you commit.

The programme is intentionally transparent because trust matters more than pressure selling.

Complete all four Singapore sessions, do the work, and walk away without a clear go / adjust / stop decision backed by customer evidence — and the Singapore portion is refunded.

Why only 12 seats

The ground test requires personal facilitation.

The Guangxi component needs real introductions, translation, operator conversations, and on-the-ground support. The cohort is kept small so the experience does not become generic.
